Food sector giant Premier Foods is aiming to raise £200,000 for local children’s hospices across the UK. The company has paired with Together for Short Lives, a UK charity for children’s palliative care, to help provide much needed funds to ensure families are supported and have access to the very best care that is available.
“Family time is precious and at Premier Foods we believe in bringing families together at mealtimes to make moments to treasure. No one knows more about the importance of family together time than Together for Short Lives, which is why we'll be engaging colleagues across our whole business behind the partnership, supported by our network of Charity Champions who are responsible for vital fundraising and awareness initiatives.” David Wilkinson, HR & communications director
To celebrate the start of the two-year partnership, Premier Foods delivered food hampers to children’s hospices they are supporting. Each was filled with cupboard essentials and sweet treat products to support hospice care workers and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Andy Fletcher, CEO of Together for Short Lives, said: “We could not be more grateful to Premier Foods for choosing us as their charity partners for the next two years.
“It’s wonderful news for us to share at this difficult time. Children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, and their families, need the support of their local children’s hospice now more than ever; so I’m thrilled that Premier Foods will help us make sure these families get the vital care and support they need today, tomorrow and into the future.”
