Training update

After consultation with our training and executive committees, UKFM is pleased to announce the introduction of a Level 1 & 2 training programme aimed at all new employees to the milling industry.

The package includes bite-size interactive content that can be accessed on the move via smart phones and other portable devices. The new offering continues to reflect best practice in training and development methods.

In our most recent feedback survey, 98 percent of students felt that the distance learning programme supported their professional development and helped them within their role and/or gain promotion. However, challenges in achieving work-life balance prevents take-up of training, with time being the biggest barrier.

Mobile-based microlearning provides employees with an ideal training strategy, whereby they can learn when it suits them.

They are able to make progress in their training on-the-go, whether it is on their commute, waiting for a colleague or on a lunch break. In other words, wherever and whenever. Makes learning convenient, improves engagement and completion rates, and provides much needed milling-specific skills and expertise. We look forward to sharing some sneak previews before its release and hearing your thoughts
